NOTE #`: “On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, the guns fell silent marking the end of “The War to End All Wars”.  Traditionally in both the US, and Canada, a moment of silence is observed at 11:00 on November 11 to honour those who made the supreme sacrifice in WWI, and subsequent wars.  The United States and Canada have fought together as allies in many conflicts over the last hundred years, and it is fitting that we commemorate this day together.  A short ceremony is planned to honour the fallen at Hotel Pescadores from 10:40 to 11:15 on Saturday 11 November.  Please join us. – contact@fisheastcape.com

  1.   East Cape Health Center has a sad, cautionary message. It was brought to my attention that we had a recent death in the community. An otherwise healthy female in her mid-20s fell ill Oct 24, and within 4 days, she succumbed to organ failure as a result of Influenza and Dengue Fever. Keep yourself safe with Mosquito spray and fumigation on your property and home. 
  2. Recent rains contributed to hatching abandoned nests and standing water is another culprit.
