Sad News: On January 16th we said adios to Pam Gray, a 20-year resident of our community. Recently retired from Homes and Land of Baja, Pam was active in the animal rescue community and enjoyed hiking in the local mountains/desert. Donations in her honor may by made to Cortez Rescue (https://cortezrescue.org/) or Barriles Area Trail Stewards (https://www.trailforks.com/region/los-barriles/karma/).

- Technically, I cannot paste the picture for reasons I don’t understand but last Tuesday night after dark a bunch of rude people had a huge bonfire on the beach at Don Pepe. - With all the recent disclosures about plastic, I’m wondering if anyone knows how safe the big 5 gal water jugs are that most of us use ? The liter bottles that all the visitors buy (and fill up the dump with) release 250,000 nanoplastic particles per liter bottle. We always tell our visitors to just buy a big jug for home use and ask for a glass of water at restaurants, and they will give you purified water, but now we wonder if the big jugs are leaching lots of nanoplastics also.
