  1. Mike Koehn suffered a heart attack and passed away Monday May 25. Mike had a life of service. He served in the US navy and the police. Here in Los Barriles he was active in the Rotary, serving as president for a number of years. Mike never missed a chance to ride his ATV and was an integral feature of every Feeding the Hungry charity ATV Fun Ride. Mike’s steadfastness, dependability, and wisdom will be greatly missed.
  2. SNAP East Cape (spay, neuter, prevention) is collecting gently used fishing gear, sports equipment, and outdoor items for a community garage sale fundraiser – held at start of Fall season. If you have rods, tackle, paddles, snorkel masks, beach gear, or sporting goods you no longer use, please consider donating them. 100% of proceeds will go towards SNAP’s 2026/2027 Community Clinic Program, providing no-cost sterilizations for cats & dogs in East Cape communities.
