1. RECYCLING’s resumed for 2025-26. Gracias to everyone who ‘stored’ their recyclables through the summer, keeping lots of junk out of the landfill! Our volunteers are happy to help you with your stuff but please remember to rinse any food residue from containers. Smaller “First Thursday” turnout but we appreciate the donations received (now 150 pesos/household/month) which pay for transporting recyclables to La Paz AND support Cursos de Verano (summer camp)! 2. I met Dave Love many years ago when he was living in a house around the curve from Tio’s. The house was completely covered with native growth . We would sit on the veranda, drink beer and “fish for scorpians” by hanging mops over the parapet wall into the undergrowth. Whoever caught the most scorpians had to pay for the beer……oh, oh the good old days! RIP Dave, I hope there is a lot of good music wherever you are.
