Response to my New Year’s posting was to say the least, precious. We have two 80+ Pickle Ballers, our dear friend rode across the USA twice in his 70’s, how about a reader winning the  San Francisco Sturgeon Derby. New Year’s Day. One of our readers was 4 years old when Pearl Harbor happened, another life time of emotional memories. And, a Rose Parade participant, “I am only a septagenarian, but I represented the State of Oregon in the 1975 Rose bowl. Our float, “TheQuilting Bee” won the Queen’s Trophy. The cows have become accustomed to finding food at Playa Norte RV Park. When no food is left for them, they have started venturing through the beach gates, the arroyo, and scaling low fences. They’ve even figured out how to navigate the cattle guard. Once inside, they cause significant destruction—outdoor kitchens are wrecked, long-tended plants are ruined, furniture is broken, and household items are damaged. This behavior isn’t the cows’ fault. They’re simply acting on their instincts. It’s up to humans to change this situation. Please stop feeding the cows. This will encourage them to return to their natural grazing patterns, independent of human intervention. Playa Norte RV Park covers the costs of manure removal and damage repairs, while the owner of the cows refuses to take responsibility.
