  1.   The Mexican Labor Law states that each year employers are to give their workers a Christmas Bonus. This bonus is mandatory for all employees and consists of the amount of 15 days wages and must be given to the employee by the 20th of December. More can of course be given but 15 days wages is the mandatory minimum amount. Merry Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year!!!

Two messages from our Computer Guy: Microsoft has announced the “end of life” for Windows 10, October 14, 2025.  That doesn’t mean that Windows 10 will cease to operate, it means that Microsoft will no longer update and maintain Windows 10.  Well before that date, Windows 11 will be a more mature operating system and ready for common use.  Right now, Windows 11 is not yet fully configured for all that it will offer in the coming months.  In English, don’t rush to upgrade.  If you are buying a new computer, fine; it will be optimized for your new computer.  Updates will bring more features.  Biggest change you will notice immediately is the start menu is in the middle and it’s pretty.

    Every two weeks we read about another lost phone, iphone or android.  If you lose your phone, go to a computer, search for “Find my Iphone” (https://support.apple.com/find-my) or “Find my Android” (https://www.google.com/android/find?u=0).  As long as the battery is operating and you have a data plan, you can locate the phone.  If someone takes the phone, as soon as they plug it into a charger, it will begin reporting location.  If you have an Ipad and Iphone, there is an app that will locate the other device. thecomputerguy@usa.com

Thursday, December 2nd between 9am to 11am at Baja’s Resort at East Cape (next to the bike shop) on Calle 20 Noviembre.  We welcome you back for a successful recycling season 🙂 You are required to be VACCINATED to come in to the Resort, continue to wear a mask, try to maintain 6′ social distance and sanitize/wash your hands at spigot.  Risk of Covid contagion persists and it is everyone’s responsibility to preserve the health of our community!
