Storm Enrique did give the East Cape some much needed rain, also thunder and lightening! To date I have not heard of any major damage other than from the Gringo Gazette there was a partial washout LB to El Cardonal on the paved road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The small team of summer volunteers at Cortez Rescue is on its knees. You get to see all of their triumphs and successes, but they are dealing with an unprecedented amount of dogs this year due to COVID-19 (lack of spay & neuter clinics\/people unable to care for their pets\/increased levels of cruelty to dogs etc). They need help desperately to cope with 130 dogs. Just giving a minimum of one day a week to help out in Los Barriles at mini Cortez – or at the main Cortez Rescue in Las Cuevas – would mean all the world to the dogs and to the team. Plus they are providing a HUGE community service. Please, please consider helping out to get through the summer \u2013 your small contribution could be a big contribution to the life of a dog.
