(1)  My friend had his RV parked in a lot between the Pemex and the bridge north of town. The window was smashed and the thieves took 3 computers and thousands of dollars worth of tools. They also got passports and driver’s licenses. They used his wheel barrow to haul the goods away. The wheel barrow was found near a green van. First reply: In the case of the purse snatching at the nursery on Monday. There was a tall thin man standing at the entrance looking Down at his cell phone. I think with short gray hair.The only other person there was a Mexican look like an Indian with the blue jacket in a backpack on. No vehicles But ours. Beware

(1)  Methods to transfer US funds to Bancomer: Wells Fargo has a relationship with Bancomer and allows a customer to use their Express Send service for $5.00 per wire transfer. Set up is a hassle but after that you can send a max of $3,000 in increments of $1,500 each month. This can be done online. If you have a Charles Schwab brokerage account you get 4 (?) free wire transfers per month and can move dollars down that way. I am sure there are other cost effective ways.

a.  Wednesday DEC. 4. MY Wallet was stolen out of my purse as while I had breakfast at Mercado La Costa . It was not zippered shut, as it should have been and I noticed a tall, thin man walking around who seemed a bit nervous and out of place. I wish I had been more diligent, but have not had any issues here in Los Barriles in several years. After speaking with the gals at the vegetable market, the description of their suspect matches the man I noticed…. Folks… be aware! They are apparently working this area!!

b.  Purse stolen out of my car at the nursery just outside of town next to the pemex station. Turn my back to look at some plants and those few seconds someone had opened the door and took my belongings. Be on guard I let mine down for a moment and that’s all it took.

c.  Bancomer – new deposit rules??

a.  I’ve had three lithium ion batteries expand and delaminate the glass from the case this year. I take excellent care of my toys, it can just happen. b.  RECYCLING UPDATE – The good news is more and more people are recycling. The unhappy news is that our Recycling Center is small. The Recycling Center functions well if all recyclers hold their recyclables and bring them to the Recycling Center ONLY on Recycling Day. Recycling Day is the first Thursday of each month (November-August) 9:00 – 11:00 in the East Cape Casas & RV Resort. Please crush all plastic and aluminum. Bundle your cardboard. We accept all plastics (except black garbage bags) and the plastic can be mixed, but please separate plastic, aluminum, other metal and cardboard. Sorry, we cannot take any glass. On Recycling Day, please take a few minutes to deposit your ALREADY CRUSHED AND SEPARATED RECYCLABLES into the appropriate container. a.  We crossed at San Ysidro from the US on Sunday 11/18/18 at 2:30pm with no problems, delays or any indication of trouble. We returned at 2:30pm on Wednesday 11/21/18 crossing at Otay into US because of the wait time differences. We again crossed from US thru San Ysidro on Thursday 11/22/18 at 5:30pm and returned via San Ysidro at 1:30 am on friday 11/23/18. We drove by an area that later we heard was an area of protests but we didn’t see anything resembling what was portrayed on the news. We have Sentri and cross the borders frequently and didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary other than maybe the return lines on Wednesday where a little longer. This is not a recommendation to cross or not but what we actually experienced while crossing.Hope this helps. Mark .
