a. We went to the new Repsol gas station here in town today (Saturday) and asked the attendant to fill up our large SUV. He kept telling us to pull forward, much more forward than we are used to, almost so far forward we couldn’t see the pump… While he was filling up our vehicle he asked if we were on vacation or lived here and kept asking my passenger if they spoke Spanish even though I was communicating in Spanish…? Then when he was finished I gave him a 50 pesos tip and he ran my card and I signed the receipt. Driving away I noticed the amount charged was over 400 pesos more than it was supposed to be. I pulled back around and told him to look at the pump and he immediately in English said sometimes the machine doesn’t work right and reached into his own wallet and gave me back 420 pesos! The guy is a blatant thief and you should be extremely careful about getting gas there. I have traveled all over the world and nowhere is there such an effort at gas stations to steal money from customers as I have seen here on the Baja. This has happened at the Chevron near the airport, the Pemex near the airport, the Pemex in San Quintin BC, this event added to all the others, should be a cautionary reminder to watch carefully and to call them on their behavior!! I reported past incidents to corporate and will do the same with this one. I am just trying to save someone from getting ripped off.
