a. Gas money scam: We have had two money changing incidents recently in San Jose. First at the Pemex near the airport and second at the ARCO across from Dominos Pizza. They exchange your $500 Peso bill for a $50 and demand more money. When paying in cash, get out of the car, fan out your payment and count it out to the attendant. This way there is no question as to what you are giving them. Never let them see what you have in your wallet. (unsigned)
