Google Photo is offers free
unlimited photo storage. It is cross platform and works on all
mobile platforms. Amazon Prime members are eligible for free,
unlimited photo storage as well. If you value your photos,
consider on-line back up. I keep one copy of my photos on my
primary computer, one in the cloud and one on an external hard
drive.
There's a new app for Parking in major cities call Luxe.
You can tell Luxe where you plan to be, a designated person in
uniform will meet you there and park your car for a max of $15
per day. Your car can be delivered to you at the time you need
it. They will even wash your car for an additional cost.
Remember when you're looking for airline tickets, the
airline can track the number of times you search for a
particular flight. Prices will rise when the airline knows your
interested. To avoid that, use a different browser or with the
Chrome browser, go to the three bars in the top right corner and
select “incognito.” Firefox calls it “private window”. For
Safari, click on File then “private window”. All of the above
will eliminate the airline tracking your searches. If you are
using Internet Explorer, you shouldn't!
If you have a new car with a key fob that allows you to
enter the car without pushing any buttons, your car's contents
could be at risk. You car continually searches for that fob.
When the fob is close to the car, it will open the doors. For
under $20 a criminal can purchase a signal amplifier that makes
it possible to open your car doors when your fob is inside the
house. The NY Times tech editor watched as a couple of crooks
broke into his Prius parked in his front yard. The keys were on
a desk just inside his house.
