As the organizer for the 2nd Annual Subasta for the
New Creations Orphanage in LaPaz, I want to thank everyone who
contributed to its success. And what a day it was: the kids loved
their quad rides, food and overall fun; Rexy, at Lazy Days, opened
her heart, once again to the group...those that donated gift
certificates, as well as their hand made items, were pleased to
share in the cause, and SO appreciated...those that purchased
through the silent and live auction process were most generous and
kind...the musicians shared their love of music until 830 pm when
the last few folks left...and the volunteers gave endlessly of their
time and talents. It was a grand day for all! THANK YOU EVERYONE:
donors, contributors, musicians, and volunteers for the
unconditional support to this worthy cause. Through the effort of
all involved, the event raised 136,385 pesos or about $8K US. Rather
impressive for 2 hours of coming together to help make live a little

performing at a benefit concert Friday March 25 from 1 P.M. to 1
A.M. at the Buena Vista Beach behind the Tienda Popular. All
donations will go to Viry Cosio’s 10 year old niece “America Cota
Cosio”, to help her with costs not covered by her government health
care for a qualified second opinion in Mexico City with regards to
her cancer treatment.
