MOVIE NIGHT!! "The Revenant is coming!! Tuesday, March 15! After
winning Best Actor and Best Director Oscars last week, and a Best
Picture Golden Globe for 2016, "The Revenant was voted in as your
next movie winner in our survey. (If you would like to be included
in this panel, please send me your email address.) Starring Leonardo
DiCaprio as a frontiersman on a fur trading expedition in the 1820s
who must fight for survival after being mauled by a bear and left
for dead by members of his own hunting team, this exciting film is
Rated 'R'...not for the kiddies...(they will have to wait for "Star
Wars"...coming soon!) You may place you chairs after 5pm for a 7pm
start in front of our Big Screen at Parque Laguna. Yummy popcorn
(with real butter and sea salt!), wine, beer, water, and (new!)
Margaritas will be available for purchase at this fundraiser to
support monthly recycling and environmental education right here in
Los Barriles. We ask an $80p donation at the door and 100% of your
money goes to this worthy cause. Questions:

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - 15 MINUTES IS
ALL WE ASK - Saturday, March 5, from 9:00 - 1:00, East Cape
Recycling Baja will have a space at the Community Market. Please
drop by for 15 minutes and help us complete the following clean and
easy tasks - Remove the Topo Chico labels from the bottles - Screw
the caps on bottles if they are missing - Sort the bottles by size.
These are truly tasks where many hands make light work, and many
hands are needed or we will not get the job done in time.
ECRB has been saving Topo Chico bottles from which to
construct recycle bins that will be installed in restaurants and
around downtown Los Barriles (see the picture of the prototype). Our
mayor, Francie Olachea, embraces this project as part of a more
comprehensive Los Barriles Recicla/Los Barriles Recycles campaign
that includes contests for the local kids to win prizes for helping
to clean the beaches during Semana Santa, and eventually a Municipal
Recycle Center located near the Delegation offices. ECRB is very
pleased to have a joint community service project with our local
Rotary club and 15 young US Rotarians (high school age) and their
chaperones who will be visiting Los Barriles during Semana Santa. As
part of their community service mission, the young Rotarians, with
our local high school students, will help construct and install the
Topo Chico recycle bins. Your help will ensure that everything is
ready for the students when they arrive.
Thanks in advance for your help and all that you do to support
recycling.
