I want
to communicate, my family is going through serious
family crisis right now so issues of the BPE will be far and
few between these next few weeks. I debated if I should say
why, but rather than have rumors run rapid (you know me) I
will share that my 54 year old daughter has recurrent breast
cancer and is in hospice. Today, she is alert and
comfortable. Maybe this knowledge will prompt someone
out there to go and get that long over due check-up thus
maybe making something good come from something so sad.
We thank you ahead of time for your thoughts of love
and strength for Brenda Jean, her husband Michael and three
grown sons, Sean, Daniel and Andrew. With love

Now that many of the readers out in BPE land
are back in the states, it is a perfect time for you to collect
baseball equipment. We are in great need of mitts/gloves and balls -
used is great. We have found there are lots of lefty kids, so left
handed mitts are in great demand. Mitts and balls are needed most,
but uniforms, bats, bases, catcher gear is also appreciated. If
everyone coming down could brings a few pieces of equipment with
them, we will be able to suit up many communities and get a youth
league started! It will take more equipment than I can collect from
my area get this going. I need everyone's help to make this happen.
Clean out your closets or check out Little Leagues in your area for
their extra equipment and uniforms.
Our first camp this upcoming season is Nov 21 from 9am
- 1pm. If you can help we would greatly appreciate it. For more
