DISCUSSIONS- This category must have name and/or email address.

a.  Our home was broken into during the Christmas holidays and we recovered some items. We know who the perp is and I have filed a police report to have this person picked up and thrown in jail. I speak fluent Spanish and have been diligent to be sure something gets done and I will keep pressing until something happens. Our local police and Municipal notario? Who are in charge have enlightened me on some pretty disturbing facts. First, they say that they are not getting people to file reports to have these people arrested. Is that so? Is it because they don't speak Spanish well and don't understand the laws in Mexico or is it because they are afraid of retribution. I know for a fact that there have been many breakins in our communities and if we don't report and have these people arrested it will continue. There is an awful feeling of an invasion of privacy and just an awful thought that these people know where you live, when you are around and what you possess. We are good law abiding citizens in the area and have helped the local community in a lot of positive ways.
I will continue to press my issue until I see some results. We know some of the perps in our area and I am not going to sit around and let my home be raided and robbed. I have installed security systems that help, but we need to let these perps know that this is not acceptable and they will be caught and thrown in JAIL. A good majority of these people are drug addicts and need to be detoxed, one way or another. So far we have had very poor results with the local authorities. We were able to research by knowing the locals and finding out who bought atleast part of what was stolen. If it wasn't for that, we believe nothing would have probably happened. And even with that they did not follow through and recover the rest of our belongings. So in closing, if you are involved in a breakin, please report and follow up on the progression of your case. If we let things slide it will continue and you may lose something very meaningful, valuable and sentimental. I want to live in paradise with no worries and I don't have a problem discussing my case with anyone that is interested. Still missing is a Cabellas Triton On Demand Hot water heater with a 5 gal propane tank, some arrow heads, some shark teeth, pesos, lots of pesos, A Winchester Bowie knife, a set of Dell computer speakers, and our sanity.......sassy1225@iCloud.com

The Annual Los Barriles Artist Studio TOUR    Sponsored by the Asociation de Artes is TODAY!  from 10 until 4. This year we have 17 amazing artists on the tour. Elizabeth Perkins of E Designs Jewelry is #3 on the Artist Studio Tour this year. My one of kind designs are created with sterling silver, semiprecious stones and pearls. This year I have real butterfly wing earrings for only 20 hot tamales. And you men don't forget that Valentines day is on Sat. and Jewelry always makes a great gift.
