The Rotary Club of Los Barriles Cabo Este is launching a campaign to help our neighbors during this very trying time in the aftermath of Hurricane Odile. As we did after Hurricane John we will be helping our neighbors rebuild their homes. As before we will be supplying materials for the reconstruction of their homes. All money donated to the Rotary Club will go straight to disaster relief.
We need to help during this difficult time, this is our community our neighbors. Please help with any donation

Need info on the Cabo Ribera Marina at La Ribera.  Any boat damage?  bajaponyexpress3@gmail.com

Has anyone seen or heard from Patti Morrison of the Hotel Los Pescadores? She was on route to LB last week and we lost contact with her. Her family is worried.  terrijac@gmail.com

Does anyone have information on Jill Bouchard & Clint?  They were staying at Kim and Rich's house in the arroyo before you go up the hill to Punta Pescadero.  Bernadine.   bj4gj@aol.com   406-728-0234

The NewCreation orphanage in La Paz sustained lots of damage during the hurricane. We arranged for food and water to be delivered but they need more help. I am raising funds to help them rebuild but in the meantime they are in need of a generator. Does anyone have a generator they can loan to the orphanage or sell or rent. Adamg@dccnet.com

9/20/14  Some people in La Ribera have internet!
=========================================

Oh, about Pescadero, the paved, "road to nowhere" is passable, but the beach road is not.  It has some massive boulders blocking it that would make it hard for even a quad to get through. After last night's rain, there might be even more rocks.

Dear Anchor Storage Customers

This is a general email to let everyone know Anchor Storage appears to be OK!

I do not want to be overly optimistic, as I still have had no contact with any staff in Cabo. All communication and internet is down, but one of many pleas for information worked: I just received pictures of the facility (attached) from a colleague heading out of the Cabo airport who said the damage looks to be relatively minimal.

The office and living trailers are still standing, buildings and doors still on, and all cars seem to be firmly on their wheels, though fences seem bent, the shade gone, and I assume windows and other damage is likely.

Our facility has the highest level of hurricane rating, and that appears to have paid off for all of us. We had concrete poured into the base of the fence posts, so that is what helped keep them up.

I booked multiple flights down to Cabo and the one this Tuesday so far has not been cancelled, so I am hoping to give you more information soon. There is no food, no water or electricity, so not sure how well I will be able to communicate once there, but I will do what I can to let you know the condition of your goods. Let’s assume the staff is working away and letting people come get cars and goods. Because the electricity goes out so often, we have a dual system and do not rely on the internet for business, so please bring your Folio and we have a copy as well.

As I am bombarded with customer calls that I have intercepted on behalf of the Cabo team, please forgive me for any slow response times and know that we will do our best to get to business as usually shortly..   Lu
