I live at Spa Buena Vista and I can't come back home
yet, but my dog, Chori, the Irish Setter is alone. Mauricio the guy
who clean the roads at Spa was in charge of him, but I can't get in
touch with him. Can someone help me with this or just tell me how is
my house doing, if I still have the palapa in place I'm very concern
about this, and I don't have communication.

We are flying back to SJD as soon as the airport is open.
Does anyone have information on the road from SJD to Los Barriles?
Can it be driven with 4WD? Any information would be greatly
appreciated by many of us who are trying to come home. Lyn and Ron

Meet Mr. Polo!
Picture from www.eebmike.com
Report 5pm 9/16/14
The cloud pattern is gradually becoming better organized, with very
well defined cyclonically curved convective bands wrapping around a
small central dense overcast. An ASCAT-B pass over the cyclone
a few hours ago yields an initial intensity of 40 kt. The ocean is
plenty warm south of Mexico, and the shear is expected to decrease
during the next day or two. On this basis, the NHC forecast calls
for strengthening, making Polo a hurricane in about 36 hours, in
good agreement with the model consensus ICON. After 48 hours, most
of the guidance shows an increase in shear and no additional
development is anticipated, and in fact, some gradual weakening
should then begin. (To read more, go to www.eebmike.com )

If you are at home in the US and frustrated because
there is not much you can do 1,000 or miles away from your Buena
Vista / Los Barriles Baja home - there is a way you may be able to
help!
Most of us have a pantry in the house with canned goods, boxes of
spaghetti etc that have been targeted for opening sometime in 2015
but in reality will probable be tossed once you check the expiration
date in November.
You may also have a refrigerator / freezer that contains
arranchera or hamburger that you forgot to eat before departing in
May and, without power, will not last very long.
There might be a family or someone you know who could use that
"stuff". Hopefully you know someone who has access to your house and
can distribute this food? I'm sure it would be very appreciated!
