HURRICANE REPORT - #2 - Monday
9/15/14 @6AM BT
Hurricane Odile Report #2 - Sunday/Monday. These are
on-site reports.
1. 7pm Sunday: things are good here in La Ribera....windy
and light rain
2. 8pm Sunday: Buena Vista... Winds at 50 and it is 100
miles out
3. 5:30pm Sunday: Electricity's been clicking on and off
so I'm going shut down the computer for the nite. It's
started. Winds are now ESE and gusting to around 25 possibly 30 way
outside. BIG whitecaps and the wave size is increasing and it's
storm surf. Temps 81. It will be dark soon but the electricity is
the biggest concern so
Buenas Noches and hopefully I can get online manana.
4. 11pm Sunday: It's eleven pm! Kathy at Juanita's Garden: The
wind is really gusting and more rain. It's a little worry some!! No
electric in town, generator on at the hotel....not staying in the
fifth wheel. If I ever sleep tonight I will sleep in den. Cabo
really got hit about 30 minutes ago.....I hope everyone is safe in
our town.
5. 12:30am Monday: Kathy, Juanita's Garden: On the first
half waiting for the eye then back half! Wind wind wind. Rain rain
rain. So far lost a fan ripped right out of ceiling. To make matters
worse had a electrical fire in the corner of the palapa... So it's
been a long night and still waiting. Cabo is really bad check
different sites and you will see front lobby large windows
completely blown out. I am nervous and worried!, be glad when it's
over. Just me stuck in a hurricane !!!!
