Secret car warranties do exist. Manufactures often issue Tech
Service Bulletins (TSB’s) which are designed to correct known
defects in their automobiles. These can precede mandatory recalls,
some never reach that mandatory stage. Those TSB may not be widely
published. So, if you’re having a nagging problem with your car,
look in the following places for TSB’s and/or recalls:

So far this year I have had three desktop towers in “intensive
care”. All three shared the same malady – random failures of various
components and at different times. Baja is famous for its talcum
powder dust that seems to get in everything including computers.
With the high humidity from this past season’s rains all three of my
towers were caked in dust. I used compressed air to blow out the
dust, dirt and bugs (yes insects). Having benefited from prior years
experience, I elected to do this outside (happy wife, happy life!).
In the past I’ve had TV’s, stereo’s, laptops, Dish Receivers, etc
fail due to dust. Please be careful and avoid very high pressure. Be
advices that canned air is a good solution but long bursts will
cause moisture and frost. For laptops, you might try the suction
from a vacuum cleaner. Give yourself some air gap space so as to
reduce the force of the airflow. Laptops are more fragile.
