Caps for Cancer is meeting January 7, 9am.
For 2 years a group of ladies from the East Cape have been knitting caps for the Los Cabos Children’s Foundation, which is a non profit that provides medical, educational and humanitarian assistance to the children of the East Cape, which includes our local East Cape Health Center in Los Barriles. This knitting group donated over 400 caps this year. Dr. Ortiz’s Cancer Clinic at the Salvitierra Hospital in La Paz, will also be a beneficiary of these hats, in the New Year.. I would like to congratulate the women who have knitted and crocheted hats, booties and lap blankets to this cause. As the need has grown, so we need more artisans. If you would like to join this group, there is no charge for joining, all the material are free, which have also been donated. There are looms for those who cannot knit. If you prefer to just make hats and not attend meetings, we will provide materials. For more information contact Annette at iikaiser@frii.com
