We recently received sad
news regarding one of the nicest and longest term residents of our
area. Ray Lee, formerly of LaCapilla and more recently of LaRibera,
departed on his last fishing trip on December 3, 2014. He had gone
back to California about two months ago to seek medical treatment
and had been progressing nicely but suffered a setback. He was with
his two nieces and other loving family members and was in good hands
at a hospital. They ask that all his friends take a moment to
remember a kind man who as recently as last year took delight in
riding his go-fast quad over the Baja countryside. If you met him at
Verdugos for breakfast, get together, take a moment and tell great
stories. He’d like that.

Lord of the Wind is fast approaching and now is the
time to get your tickets for the great parties. The Rotary Club will
be at the community market this Saturday selling both the Reggae
party and the Awards party. The Reggae party is held at Buena Vista
Beach Resort Jan 16th and will feature the same great band that has
played the last couple of years.
The award party will be a Mexican Fiesta held at the new park
featuring Mexican food and a great live band. Both parties are
$25usd or $325 pesos. These parties and all of the proceeds form
Lord of the Wind help fund the many great projects in our community.

Art Journaling Class: Next Friday, December 12th. 10
a.m. - 12 noon at Libelula Art Studio with Josefina, $200
dragonflies. Art journals are a way to celebrate events in your
life, test out new art techniques and lose yourself in the joy of
creating. The focus will be on building the rich, mixed media layers
onto the page and we will incorporate text into our creations. This
will be a fun class with everyone’s self-expression being encouraged
and celebrated. Bring your own sketch book, or there will be limited
journals for sale at class.($55 pesos). All materials provided. No

a. AT&T Phones: Just read the update on the
AT&T MX/US phone plane. I have to say that I set up my Viva MX phone
plane 5 weeks ago and added my husband to the plan last week so it's
still alive and well and much cheaper than paying $1 per minute is
you make more than a couple of short call to the US or within MX. It
was a problem setting up Viva MX by phone. International Reps knew
about the Viva MX plan, but most of the US Domestic Reps needed
prompting even though the plan is offered on line.
I ended up going into an AT&T store
in the states and had no problem signing up for it. 1 line. . . a
flat rate of $54.99 for 450 minutes, $84.99 for 900 with no minute
charges. For 2 lines. . .700 min for $109.99 and 1400 min for approx
$130. If you want data or texting, there is an extra charge.
